Den Frieden Tanzen

Zwinglihaus, Basel | 21.09.2026

On Monday, September 21, 2026, marking the International Day of Peace, everyone is invited to a special evening of dance at the Zwinglihaus in Basel. Titled "Den Frieden Tanzen" (Dancing for Peace), the event features HAGIOS peace chants by Helge Burggrabe, rooted in monastic singing traditions. Choreographer Nanni Kloke has developed simple, meditative circle dances to these beautiful 1- to 4-part chants. Together, participants will form a circle around a shared center, transforming the music into a danced prayer. Some dances are lively and powerful, while others lead into deep silence. No prior dance experience or partner is required. In solidarity with the global Live Peace movement, this gathering shows that peacemaking begins right in our midst.

Programme:

  • 19:00 – 21:00 (7 PM - 9 PM) | Den Frieden Tanzen: Meditative and powerful circle dances to HAGIOS peace chants. Each dance is taught on-site, with simple, repeating steps and space for silence.

  • Registration & Contact: Anne Stoller Bongartz – info@offline-basel.ch | www.offline-basel.ch
