Bruges Peace Week

From 19 to 27 September 2026, the City of Bruges and the Bruges Peace Platform will host the Bruges Peace Week. The diverse cultural programme features theatre performances, a dialogue evening, a peace walk, and a world meal celebrating global solidarity. This multi-day festival proudly supports the Live Peace initiative to foster dialogue, unity, and shared hope.
Programme:
During the core of Bruges Peace Week (19–27 September), key activities include:

21 Sept: Theatre 'A Lament for Peace' – a moving reflection on peace and conflict.

22 Sept: Dialogue Evening with Annemarie Gielen (Pax Christi) & Svitlana Musina (Kryla, Bruges-Ukraine organisation).

23 Sept: Peace Walk exploring local stories of peace, followed by peace speeches at the peace pole.

24 Sept: Youth Theatre 'Bloodline' – a gripping play on war and reconciliation.

25 Sept: Exhibition 'Resisting War Propaganda'.

26–27 Sept: Theatre 'No More War Music' – a musical call for peace.

27 Sept: Singing for Peace with the Bruges carillon.
