On Monday, 21 September 2026, Chicago marks the 48th Anniversary of Peace Day with a free celebration of unity and diversity at Daley Plaza from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Hosted by The Peace School and the Chicago Build the Peace Committee, this community gathering features inspiring speakers, live music, diverse cultural dance performances, and the moving World Peace Flag Ceremony. As each national flag is carried forward from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, the audience unites in calling out wishes of peace for every nation on Earth.
