The Bethlehem parish in Leipzig is part of the Evangelical Lutheran parish in the south of Leipzig. For 99 years, church services have been held in the parish hall of our parish house. What was originally planned as a temporary solution has become a permanent one, not least because of the Second World War and its aftermath. The church originally planned was never built. The aim of the parish is to spread Jesus' message of love for enemies in the southern suburbs of Leipzig and thus act as a peacemaker. This aim is put into practice in particular at the Südcafé, a meeting place for people with or without a migrant background. Here, people from different cultures and religions come together as equals, something that is particularly sought after and appreciated by people who have fled the war.

Have you ever felt a melody or sound resonate within you?

We invite you to explore these vibrations through songs of healing and strength. After a few exercises to relax the body and the voice, we'll let ourselves be guided by the present moment: breathing, simple movements, group singing... A space to nourish and fulfil the soul.

Peace begins within: cultivating inner peace so that we can radiate it around us. This requires authenticity, discipline and a refocusing of the heart in an overly cerebral society. As the Christian monks taught us: "Die before you die so that you don't rot when you die". This path of transformation is demanding, but a source of freedom. Through my songs and animations, I share my experiences of this process.

Trommel Gruppe Leipzig
Trommel Gruppe Leipzig

For over 6 years now, our drumming community in Leipzig has been exploring the paths of shamanism and animism. The sound of the drums connects us to the heart of Mother Earth, to her energy and joy. Our songs open up an inner journey to the heart, beyond words, towards deep, buried sensations. The voice of the drum carries a message of peace, connection and life.

Audiences say: "A cross between Bodo Wartke and Element of Crime" or "It reminds me of Dota! Yes, another woman with a guitar who sings her own songs and isn't afraid to tackle political and personal subjects. She exudes a discreet sense of humour and immediately overwhelms you with her poetry. Or the other way round. Who knows exactly? Find out for yourself! If you're ready to explore new horizons, follow the troubadour's call: cast off!
