Day of Peace

On Wednesday, 23 September 2026, the City of Saran will celebrate the Day of Peace with a full afternoon and evening of community events. The festivities begin in the Parc du Château (behind the town hall) with exhibitions, games, and the symbolic planting of a peace tree, followed by a documentary screening at the local Pathé cinema in the evening. This inclusive day proudly supports the Live Peace initiative to foster unity and dialogue across generations.
Programme:

14:00 – 17:00: Exhibitions, stands, and game activities for children organized by the city's associations and youth structures (Parc du Château).

15:30: Planting of a peace tree and official speeches.

16:00: Shared afternoon snack (goûter) for the children.

19:30: Screening of the documentary film "La bombe et nous" by Xavier Marie Bonnot at the Pathé cinema in Saran, in partnership with the Peace Movement (Le Mouvement de la paix).
